The U.S. Army wants to change its identity. It’s at the forefront of technology, of intelligence, and of opportunity. It’s more than grunts with guns; it’s the best and brightest of us, each with diverse interests and skill sets striving for a better world. Together, we never stop advancing.
America's first digital monument.
The U.S. Army is tasked with the protection of our national Ideals, and the best way to commemorate those intangible, ever-changing, ever-evolving Ideals is with a digital monument.
The National Monument to Idealswould be a collection of short videos, interviews, and clips gathered from around the country memorializing those values we hold dear. And part of the beauty will be how we’ll visualize those sentiments over time, showing the constants and the changes.
An Ideal may not be set in stone, but it's something toward which the U.S. Army will always advance.
To promote the Monument, we host events in public squares across the country where civilians can document their Ideals for the site. As an added incentive (and to truly drive the concept home), each contributor will receive a 3D printed green Army soldier, created on the spot in his or her likeness. We're all soldiers in our own right, a national community pursuing our collective Ideals.
