ShipHero for iPad

Design as utility.

Analog-to-Digital

Unreturned pencils, spills on Aisle 13 and misplaced decimals points are seemingly necessary evils in the hyper-analog world of the small business warehouse. Or, are they?

The hero [small business] deserves

A warehouse's ability to receive, manage and ship inventory, efficiently, is crucial. A faster, simpler, more quality-assured workflow can be had through thoughtful design and the flexibility of the Cloud.

WYSIWYG.

We dissected the warehouse's analog day-to-day work flow, simplified it, and—rather meticulously—translated it into a proper digital user flow. The wireframes for MVP wound up being a dead ringer for the final UI, as the thinking that went into this phase was just so logistically and functionally telegraphic — a testament to design as utility.

Making it comfortable.

Using motifs from the user's environment, ShipHero's UI is as contemporary as it is familiar. From obvious visual cues, including paper invoices and logs, to the more subtle, like the control panels of a forklift.
